Lighting designer – Field based role £30k- £35k negotiable for right candidate, company car provided

We are looking for a Lighting Designer with the same qualities and ambitions.
What we need from you
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Lighting Design, confident enough to talk to customers and flexible enough to work well within an established team you will need to be extremely enthusiastic, innovative, motivated and with a good eye for detail.
What’s involved in the role?
Reporting to the ‘Lighting Applications Technical Manager’ you will carry out lighting design, technical design and assist with the completion technical documents for bids and tenders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and be proficient in Lighting Design, understanding lighting standards and norms and an understanding total cost ownership / capital and energy costs.
An excellent communicator and well organised, you will be comfortable to work individually and as part of the Lighting Division.
Will have an excellent understanding of the street lighting design market, including LEDs.
Will be a team player with the ability to use your own initiative.
You will have an organised and structured work ethic in order to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Will need to have a comprehensive understanding of the Lighting Reality design package and be able to produce Lighting Layout drawings in AutoCAD format.
Will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills as you will be working closely with a number of other teams within the business.
Will liaise with the sales team in order to successfully carry out a project work and be able to read and understand architectural drawings.
Will have or be working towards the ILP Diploma module 4.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday 08.30 – 5.00pm. Ideally able to work from home, as well as a mount of site visits needed on a daily basis.
