Care Home Manager – Nursing & Residential Care
Salary: £60,000
Location: Great Yarmouth
Reports to: Operations Manager
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Care Home Manager to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of a nursing and residential care home.
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership to the staff team, ensure consistently high standards of person-centred care, maintain CQC compliance and take responsibility for the home’s financial and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the care team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion and high-quality care.
- Ensure the home meets all CQC, legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the home’s financial performance, budgets, occupancy and cost control.
- Develop effective marketing strategies to maintain high occupancy levels.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, professionals and external stakeholders.
- Monitor care quality, safeguarding, audits and overall service performance.
- Work closely with the Deputy Manager, Administrator and wider hospitality, housekeeping and care teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve the service and support its continued growth and development.
About You
- Previous experience managing a nursing or residential care home.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance, with a proven track record of improving services.
- Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and maintaining occupancy.
- Experience of marketing and developing a care service would be advantageous.
- Passionate about delivering person-centred, high-quality care.
- Confident working with residents, families, staff and external professionals.
- NMC registration and relevant post-registration experience is desirable but not essential.
